So, a week after getting the starter set of baby chicks, it was time to head back to Rural King for some more supplies. We always pick up dog food when we go, and it seems like the #legendarygoldens have been eating more than ever!
As it happens at the Hartland Rural King, the dog food is next door to the baby chicks.
Unfortunately, we lost two of the little chicks from our first group due to failure to thrive. It’s hard to explain just how attached you can become to something so tiny in such a short amount of time.
Since the chicks supplies are near the chicks and we needed a few more vitamin and electrolyte supplements, that also meant peeking into the chick bins…and there was another type of chick available! Well, six more chicks into the chick hotel for a quick transport back to the mansion.
This has to be the craziest, most fun, quirky, adventure we’ve had – well, in all of 2021 (which so far is about 12 days in). In this crazy world we’ve all been living in, it’s something super fun to look forward to! At least, that’s the justification we have ready just in case someone asks (not that they will), since they know we’re always ready for #legendaryadventures!
