You may have noticed, only a couple of our black pullet chickens had names to this point. We realize they are different, but there haven’t been that many unique characteristics showing to tell them apart easily. They also change EVERY DAY! So this was a delightful surprise, what we thought was a Midnight Majesty Maran (note the feathered feet) may actually be a French Black Copper Maran with the development of copper colored feathers on her neck. They were missing one day and there the next! This happened right at 7 weeks old, and we were finally able to name her and identify a unique trait all in one! She also enjoyed the individual attention at the photo shoot to capture the change in her as soon as we noticed it!
