Some days are long… and some days are longer. Friday, we were contacted by a woman who was overwhelmed and looking for help with her cat. We agreed to meet her, and the moment we saw this adorable overweight, heavily matted girl with tired eyes and obvious issues, we fell in love instantly.
We offered her a “spa weekend.”
After a lot of Googling, patience, and teamwork, we carefully bathed her, trimmed away mats, brushed her out, and then gave her a quiet place to rest and decompress. This morning, we started all over again with another bath and grooming session.
Now? Persephone is finally starting to feel fluffy again. Most of the painful mats are gone, she received a topical Revolution treatment, and after devouring an entire package of tuna fish, she settled in for what we hope is the beginning of a much better life.
She still has a long road ahead of her, but she’s already making strides in the right direction.
Sometimes people get overwhelmed. Life happens. And it’s okay to reach out for help, because none of us can do it all alone.
Persephone is now an official resident of Legendary Acres Hobby Farm, and we’ll continue helping her get back on the road to health, wellness, comfort, and living her very best cat life. ❤️🐾
