For us at Legendary Acres, that moment is now.
We’ve officially taken the next step and applied for 501(c)(3) nonprofit status for Legendary Acres Animal Rescue—and it’s all because of the animals… and the people who love them.
How It Started 🌿
Legendary Acres was never meant to be “just a farm.”
It became a place where:
- Animals who needed a second chance found one
- Babies were born into safety and care
- Personalities like Houdini, Goldie, and our goats became part of something bigger
What started as everyday life slowly turned into something we couldn’t ignore:

As more animals came in—and as more of you followed along and asked how to support—it became clear:
We needed a way to do more, responsibly and sustainably.
Becoming a nonprofit allows us to:
- Accept tax-deductible donations (once approved)
- Apply for grants and support programs
- Partner with businesses to reduce waste and redirect resources
- Expand our ability to rescue and care for animals in need
But most importantly…
👉 It allows you to be part of it in a bigger way.
What This Means for the Animals 🐾
This isn’t about changing what we do—it’s about strengthening it.
Your support will directly help:
- Feed goats, rabbits, pigs, birds, and more
- Provide veterinary care when it’s needed most
- Improve shelters and living spaces
- Say “yes” to animals we might not have been able to take before
