Where every animal has a story… and every story leads home.
At Legendary Acres Hobby Farm in Michigan, life is a blend of second chances, new beginnings, and everyday moments that turn into something unforgettable. This is more than a hobby farm—it’s an animal rescue farm, a place where rescued farm animals and those born here grow up side by side.
Some arrived needing a fresh start.
Some were born into it.
All of them became part of the story.
🐰 Houdini – The House Bunny Who Changed Everything
Houdini, our red-eyed white American Chinchilla rabbit, didn’t just join the farm—he redefined it. What started as a rabbit turned into a full-time, free-roaming house bunny living alongside dogs, hopping across couches, and running with the pack.
🦜 Goldie – The Voice of the Farm
Goldie the macaw came to us through a rescue, bringing her bold personality and unmistakable voice. Like many rescued animals, she quickly bonded and now keeps track of everyone—whether they want her to or not.
🐷 Izzy & Franky – A Second Chance at Farm Life
These mini potbelly pigs came to Legendary Acres needing stability and space. Today, they’re a perfect example of what an animal rescue farm can offer—routine, safety, and room to just be.
🐰 DJ Mr. Freckles – A Rescue with Personality
This Mini Rex rabbit came through a rescue situation and now thrives as part of the farm. His story is one of many rabbit rescue stories that make up the heart of Legendary Acres.
🐰 Shackleton – From City Life to Open Space
Once living in the city, Shackleton needed more room to explore. At Legendary Acres, he found a balance between indoor comfort and outdoor adventure.
🐱 Mittens – From Barn to Home
Mittens started as a tiny kitten in the pole barn. Over time, she made her way into the house—and into the family—becoming part of both farm life and home life.
🐶 Toby & Bob – The Heart of the Farm
Toby, our Golden Retriever, was a spontaneous decision that turned into the best one. He naturally stepped into his role as protector and companion.
Bob joined the crew and became his steady sidekick—together they help “raise” everything from baby goats to bunnies.
🐐 The Goats – Born at Legendary Acres
Meg, Hazel, Luna, Dagny, Leia, Howard, and Mac are the heart of our goat farm in Michigan. Many of their babies were born right here, making them a huge part of our baby goats and farm life story.
From kidding season to playful zoomies, they represent life unfolding in real time.
🐰 Dandelion & Her Kits – New Life on the Farm
Dandelion, our American Chinchilla doe, gave birth to ten kits right here—tiny, perfect examples of how baby bunnies begin their story at Legendary Acres.
🐦 The Bird Crew – Color, Sound & Personality
From Sunny the sun conure to our larger flock, the birds bring constant energy. Add in Indian Blue peafowl, ducks, geese, and chickens, and you get the full soundtrack of real farm life.
🐟 The Koi – A Living Rescue Story
Our koi pond is part of an ongoing koi rescue effort—a place where fish are rehomed and given a second chance to thrive.
🦙 Alpacas & 🐦 Emu – Always Growing
The alpacas and emu represent the evolving nature of a small Michigan hobby farm—always growing, always learning, and always adding new chapters.
✨ The Bigger Story of Legendary Acres
At its core, Legendary Acres Hobby Farm is about connection.
It’s about rescued farm animals finding peace.
It’s about animals born on the farm growing up surrounded by care.
It’s about different beginnings leading to the same place.
A safe, happy, slightly chaotic (in the best way) life.
Because here, family isn’t about where you started—
it’s about where you land… and who you become along the way.
